St. Louis Blues is a professional ice-hockey team named after the famous W.C. Handy songSt. Louis Blues”. The team plays in the Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis. The Blues joined the NHL in the 1967 expansion becoming one of the six teams to do so. Lynn Patrick was the original coach of The Blues and after his resignation, he was substituted by Scotty Bowman. The Blues were very successful in the late 1960s, but they lost their magic in the 1970s because of the change of playoff format. Bowman, their star player left the team and going to Montreal due to a power-sharing dispute with Sid Salomon III. There was a replacement in the form of Red Wings center Garry Unger, who played very well from The Blues side. Get St. Louis Blues Tickets for games full of thrills!
