HUMANITARIAN UPDATE REPORTS October, 2002 In the Bay region of Somalia, humanitarian access continues to be hampered due to inter-clan fighting. UN and INGO staff have been relocated to Huddur and Wajid and continue to monitor their operations from these temporary bases. UN Security has imposed travel ban for both ground and air operations in Luuq, Buracaba and Dinsoor. This is likely to impede on going access negotiations in the Gedo region.
